Teaching Philosophy
As an educator I personally believe that every student has the right to an equal opportunity to learn. This can be accomplished through inclusion and differentiation to help accommodate all students’ needs. As a teacher, I get to know each of my students and together we build a classroom community that will support all needs and create a learning environment that is equitable for all students and their ability to learn.
In My Classroom: I believe that children learn best when they are interested in what they are learning! That is why I design and organize our activities by “themes.” A thematic unit is the culmination of all of the areas of early childhood development specifically geared towards one topic (like weather, transportation, farm, etc). |
